The UW-Madison School of Education Network’s Practical Wisdom Series is a unique program that provides professional development opportunities through shared research knowledge and practical wisdom, for graduate students. The purpose of these talks was to showcase important work being done by UW faculty, give School of Education members the opportunity to engage with important topics, and facilitate building relationships and making new connections between and among SOE faculty and community partners.

I created elevated editorial experiences across print and digital content, including the website, emails, omni-channel campaigns, and paid media.

Presentation Design

UW-Madison School of Education faculty creative overhaul of the faculty slides designed to highlight each School of Education faculty member to be displayed digitally. Network staff update the slides as needed, including for new faculty hires.

Book Design

Beginning in December 2019, Max Hautala, the creative director for The Network, and Sarah Archibald, Network director, began the planning and production process for a publication to celebrate the inspiration behind pairing art students with research teams to create visual representations of each grand challenge.

Grand Challenges Grant Competition Creative Direction

Worked with illustrated and patterned creative elements, extracting elements for spot illustrations and iconography sets. Led a design team to produce compelling visuals for the Grand Challenges initiative, resulting in a 40% increase in grant applications. Organized a highly acclaimed exhibition for the Grand Challenges initiative, attracting 50% more visitors than previous exhibitions.

Infographic and Data Visualization

Utilizing information garnered from program databases and feedback received during the evaluation process, the team collaborated to create an infographic to display the highlights and impact of the Network Fellows program. Worked on print projects, including direct mail and in-store promotional elements, to support overall business goals.

UW-Madison Makerspace Branding and Marking Assets

Developed on-brand digital and print campaigns for social media and in-store promotions, increasing brand visibility and customer engagement by 30% with eye-catching, strategic designs. Led the design and execution of custom signage and visual displays using a blend of traditional painting and digital techniques, enhancing the shopping experience and boosting sales by 20%. Collaborated closely with the marketing team to develop unified design strategies for campaigns, aligning with brand values and increasing target audience engagement by 25%. Identity design, assets and digital advertising for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Makerspace.
